The New Zealand Secondary Schools Art Competition is a student-led initiative that inspires young artists to share their ideas, explore their creativity, and have their work recognised on a national stage. We aim to connect students across Aotearoa through art and create an inclusive platform where emerging talent can be seen and celebrated.

Hi! My name is Ethan Sheng and I am a Year 12 student at King's College. Art has always been one of my favourite ways to express my creativity. Over the years, I have particularly enjoyed working with watercolours and coloured pencils. I have developed a passion for landscapes since I love capturing the beauty of natural scenery and bringing different places to life through art.

Hi! My name is Serena Yu and I am a Year 11 student at St Cuthbert’s College. Art has always been my passion since many years ago, and I never stopped exploring different medias and styles. My favorites are all the crafty sides of art, such as sculptures, models, accessories etc… I hope to continue to learn from everyone and keep developing!
