This conceptual art piece explores themes of entanglement, mental struggle, and identity. A person sits with their back to the viewer, head buried in their hands, draped in a web of black and white threads that connect them to an abstract wall installation. The strings cascade down, enveloping the figure and spreading onto the floor, symbolizing a loss of control or being consumed by external forces. The monochrome palette intensifies the emotional weight, while the tension between chaos and structure invites viewers to reflect on inner turmoil and the invisible threads that bind us.

Judges' Statement
Beautifully imagined and executed, with a person within the threads and the threads falling, along with just using black and white, I found this to be excellent and emotional. It ticked all the boxes on creativity, originality, execution, and theme.

My first work, which is mainly sketch, mainly wants to express the psychological state that most people nowadays are in: "self-doubt & excessive self-examination". In the picture, a boy curls up in pain, and behind him are all kinds of voices full of malice, jealousy or teasing. These voices come from different people, and a little bit of accumulation is enough to knock down a person's heart. The boy's world gradually becomes colorless, and the mirror under his feet is broken, reflecting the boy's shaky state at the moment. I want to tell people that there will always be people who don't like you, and there will always be voices of doubt on the road to growth. But always stick to your original self, and don't fall into excessive scrutiny and self-doubt.
My second work, which is based on color, mainly wants to express the malice and traps of modern society towards women. The picture is mainly warm colors, but in the warm atmosphere, there is a girl's head on the plate. Now society is full of many "pink traps", which will label women with various labels and many extreme requirements, and capital regards girls as cakes that can be eaten at any time. It could be women's clothing full of sexual innuendo, or bad advertisements about surrogacy in toilets, or almost abnormal requirements for girls' faces and bodies. In corners that we cannot see, there are still girls at the age of 14 or 15 who want to marry strange men, and there are still people who cannot afford sanitary napkins. So I hope this painting can be seen by more people, and "women's rights" is not just a slogan.

Technically very good and very interesting. I was thrilled the artist included the description. The negative influences, depicted by the pencil faces, can also be seen as threads of connection that influence the artist.

This piece is all about the connections we make with others, the relationships that shape us, the memories we share, and the threads that bind us together.

I loved this short video with a nice soundtrack, the ticking clock, and images of people and places. Along with the words written, it all pulled together in hitting an emotional chord, making me feel a sense of nostalgia and connection.
I enjoyed this piece of art. The choice of music was perfect and conveyed a sense of nostalgia. The use of the voices talking sound bite was perfect, and the ticking clock makes the most of it. The images he chose tell a story, and they all work together very well.
